I found a secondhand coat that fits my shoulders and has plenty of life left in it, but I cannot decide if the muted green is a useful color for me. The shop lighting is very yellow. A mirror check does not tell me much there. Outside, the coat seems softer and less yellow, which makes the decision even harder. I am keeping my clothing budget small and would rather leave a bargain behind than own a coat I never reach for. I have looked through personal color analysis while thinking about this, though I am wary of treating one photo or one label as a final answer. Would you compare it with a scarf you already wear and check the combination outside before deciding? I could also compare it with my usual shoes to see whether it fits into real outfits rather than an imagined wardrobe. I would like a quick practical test without asking a friend to judge every purchase. What signs tell you that a color is worth taking home despite imperfect lighting? I do not mind walking away from it but I want to learn a better process for the next good find. |
