I gave myself a little time checking the richer colors I have worn for years. My quick conclusion was that I should simply choose Deep Winter. However, charcoal often looks polished but true black tops can make my face appear tired. I checked navy, espresso, cool gray, and muted plum near my face. The comparison made me see why a single label is only a starting point. I found this color analysis since it suggested questions instead of declaring one fixed result. At the moment I am considering a mix of dark neutrals and muted accents rather than one extreme. I would love to hear how others have noticed that black works differently from navy in the same palette? I am deliberately leaving bright lipstick, dramatic jewelry, and online quizzes out of this first comparison. Those may be useful later, but right now I only need a repeatable view of familiar clothing in ordinary daylight. A few careful notes feel more useful than a dramatic makeover or a rushed decision about every future purchase. |
