Looking for a practical palette comparison

I keep returning to the difference between Deep Summer and Soft Winter in everyday light. The usual palette images stop helping when the tones are close. My notes began with photos taken in one steady, shaded spot. Then I removed makeup and bright accessories so they would not influence the result. The darkest drapes felt dramatic, yet not every one looked relaxed in daylight. Dustier cool colours looked harmonious, although preference can easily distort a test. I wrote down only repeatable changes in contrast, skin texture, and the appearance of my eyes. A structured color analysis could make the comparison more systematic than scrolling through palette boards. I would treat any result as a starting point rather than a verdict. Have you found a reliable way to compare depth against softness at home? I would appreciate approaches that are realistic outside a studio. For now, I would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. I plan to revisit the fabrics before making any lasting colour decisions. I would be grateful for any experience-based suggestions.
