This invention relates to the artwork of diagnosing various blood related parameters of a patient with apparatus connected to but positioned externally of a patient's body. The invention is particularly applicable in conjunction with analyzing blood related parameters with respect to the vascular system and is described with explicit reference thereto, though it is to be appreciated that the invention could also be utilized in different body methods. It is known within the art to supply externally located gadgets for use in monitoring varied parameters of blood flowing in the cardiovascular system of a patient. Such units may, for instance, take the type of a single lumen in-dwelling catheter installed in a patient's blood vessel in order to have access to the cardiovascular system. A separate catheter is employed, every gaining access to a patient's blood vessel, for each blood parameter to be monitored.
